CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or QBE with strong practice experience)
  • Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax principles
  • Ability to manage a portfolio and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong IT skills, ideally including Xero, Sage, and QuickBooks

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Senior Accountant, you will take a leading role in delivering accounting services to a varied portfolio of SME clients.
You will supervise junior staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s continued growth.
This position would suit someone ACA/ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience) with strong technical knowledge and prior experience in a UK accountancy practice environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparation of year-end financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Preparation and review of management accounts
  • Assisting with business advisory projects and ad hoc reporting
  • Overseeing and reviewing work completed by junior staff
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting the Partners with practice development initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines
