Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join our clients’ friendly and professional team. This is a key role for a proactive individual who can take responsibility for preparing accounts, managing client relationships, and supporting the smooth running of our practice.

A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Huddersfield, providing high-quality accounting, taxation, and business advisory services to a wide range of clients. They pride themselves on their personal approach, professional standards, and commitment to building long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Complete corporation tax computations and returns
- Review work prepared by junior team members, providing support and training where necessary
- Liaise directly with clients, providing clear advice and guidance
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and HMRC regulations
- Assist with ad hoc projects and advisory work as required
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and taxation principles
- Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
