ACCOUNTS SUPERVISOR

A well-established accountancy practice based in South Dublin are seeking a dedicated Accounts Supervisor to manage a portfolio of clients across various industries. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm that values professional development and a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of junior and senior accountants, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely preparation of management accounts, financial statements, and tax compliance.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Review and finalize accounts prepared by the team before submission to clients or senior management.
  • Liaise directly with clients to provide financial advice and resolve queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist in process improvements to enhance efficiency within the department.
  • Ensure all deadlines for audits, filings, and tax submissions are met.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an accountancy practise, with leadership experience
  • Qualified or Part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
