Your role at St John of God Social Outreach We are seeking applications from Accredited Mental Health Clinicians (Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist) with expertise in offering individual and group therapeutic interventions to join our Raphael Services team in Ballarat, Victoria. We are offering this role on a permanent part-time basis, working 22.5 hours per week. Days of work can be flexible with Friday being a mandatory day. As a perinatal specific service our goal is to offer evidence-based interventions at no cost to clients who are experiencing mental health challenges in the perinatal period. Our multidisciplinary clinical team comprises Psychology, Mental Health Social Work and Mental Health Occupational Therapy, supported by a warm and efficient administration team. All delivered in the community. All tailored to suit the individuals and families that need them. All in partnership with general practitioners and other local healthcare providers. The Position Provide evidence-based Clients experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. Provide assessment, intervention and evaluation at an advanced practice level for complex and general caseload/s. Ensures prioritisation and delegation of duties for own caseload and supervised staff. Contributes to the evaluation of the Service and Clinical Specialty, to ensure continuous improvement. Ensures effective multidisciplinary teamwork through professional communication and comprehensive liaison with colleagues, patient/carers and service providers. Ensures maintenance of appropriate clinical documentation and clinical information systems. Demonstrates reflective practice and commitment to professional development. Supports service through communicating issues and ideas for enhancing the service Supports the profession through student learning. You will have senior clinical experience and leadership in a specialised area of practice within a healthcare setting, ability to undertake professional supervision and/or mentor junior staff and develop evidence based, innovative clinical practices and initiation of quality improvement activities. Successful applicants will have completed tertiary qualifications in Social Worker, Occupational Therapy or Psychology and hold registration with AHPRA or AASW.
