Responsibilities

We are seeking an Accuracy Checking Technician to join our team at the Private Prescription Hub in Northern Ireland. This role involves limited to no face-to-face contact with patients
This role involves supervising work allocation for Dispensing Assistants, managing stock levels, and acting as an expert resource for colleagues. Accuracy and compliance are critical to this role, which ensures the delivery of high-quality service and the safe dispensing of medicines. This role is in our Private prescription hub in the North of Ireland and there is limited to no face to face contact with patients.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Perform final checks of dispensed medications as an accredited Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) in line with SOPs.
  • Record and report any near-miss or dispensing errors, bringing them to the attention of the relevant dispensers.
  • Perform duties related to prescription management in compliance with legislation and GPhC guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceutical products, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist with staff induction, training, and development to uphold best practices and high-quality standards.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Pharmacy Manager, commensurate with the role’s responsibilities.
