Where You Will Work: Remote role open to candidates residing in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR). (Branches) Status: Limited Duration (Expected to end in December 2026) Pay Range: The target hourly pay range for this position is $18.21-$22.77. The full hourly pay range is $18.21-$27.33. We provide an additional $2.00 per hour bilingual differential for those employees who can support our members' financial needs effectively in a second language; subject to verification of strong grasp of financial terms utilizing language skillset. Compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer of employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role. Job Overview: This position ensures accurate, timely, and compliant processing of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions. Focuses on daily ACH operations, regulatory adherence (NACHA, Reg E, FRB), fraud monitoring, and risk mitigation. Acting as a second-tier resource for frontline staff, the specialist resolves complex ACH inquiries, supports operational continuity during holidays or unexpected events, and maintains compliance with OFAC regulations. What you'll do: Reviews ACH reports (DNE, Hold, Death Date, Loan Skip, Paid Loan) and ensures accurate processing of incoming/outgoing files. Handles ACH Reclamations, Stop Payments, Originated Returns, and Electronic Funds Transfers (setup, changes, cancellations). Maintains adherence to NACHA, Reg E, FRB regulations, and perform OFAC checks. Identifies potential fraud trends and escalate concerns appropriately. Addresses inquiries, disputes, trace requests, and research issues promptly. Oversees external transfers and manage exception reports. Performs GL balancing and ensure accurate reconciliation of ACH activities. Prepares state payroll ACH files and draft Letters of Indemnity. Acts as second-tier support for ACH inquiries and assist in updating internal documentation/FAQs. Responds during holidays or crises to maintain uninterrupted service. All other duties as assigned. When You'll Be Working: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM PST to 5:00 PM PST. Occasional Saturdays as needed. Qualifications: A minimum of two (2) years experience in ACH operations, electronic funds transfers, or similar financial operations role. Experience with GL balancing and exception handling. Bonus Points If You Have: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or related field of study. AAP (Accredited ACH Professional) certification preferred. What You’ll Bring: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork and vendor relations. Knowledge of ACH systems, GL balancing, and relevant compliance regulations (NACHA, Reg E, etc.). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively under time constraints. High attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards. Ability to interpret reports, reconcile accounts, and troubleshoot complex ACH issues.
