This Position reports to:
Purchasing Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Gestion des achats et des stocks.Assure l’approvisionnement optimal en matériaux et produits, au meilleur coût et dans les délais requis.
  • Relations fournisseurs et négociation. Sélectionne les fournisseurs, négocie les contrats, et évalue leur performance selon les KPI.
  • Maîtrise des outils et analyse. Utilise Excel, SharePoint, Power BI et ERP (SAP un atout) pour optimiser les processus d’achat.
  • Collaboration et gestion des risques. Travaille en autonomie, collabore avec l’équipe en Inde, et gère proactivement les risques et escalades.
  • Le français est requis. L’anglais est nécessaire pour communiquer avec des clients à l’extérieur du Québec sur une base régulière.

Responsibilities

The Strategic Buyer is responsible for procurement, purchasing, and inventory management for the company, ensuring that all materials, products, and supplies are acquired at the best cost, with optimal quality, and within required timelines. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing purchase orders, and collaborating with internal teams to maintain optimal stock levels and support business operations.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid
This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division in Quebec.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Identify and select suppliers for raw materials and components
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid stock out or overstocking
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives and monitor/report price increases
  • Monitor supplier performance and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and partners
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on KPIs (quality, cost, delivery times)

Qualifications for the role

  • French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
