QUALIFICATIONS

· Formation :
o Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe (ou expérience professionnelle équivalente).
o L’accréditation ou la certification de l’AGPC est un atout.
· Expérience :
o Plus de 3 ans d’expérience dans le domaine des achats, de l’approvisionnement ou de la gestion de la chaîne d’approvisionnement, de préférence dans un environnement de production.
o Une expérience de l’achat de pièces pour la maintenance est un atout.
· Compétences :
o Solides compétences en matière d’organisation et de gestion du temps.
o Maîtrise des logiciels d’achat et des systèmes ERP.
o Excellentes aptitudes à la communication et à la négociation.
o Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et dans un environnement d’équipe.
o Connaissance de la gestion des stocks et des meilleures pratiques en matière d’achats.
· Langues :
o Le bilinguisme (français et anglais) est exigé, avec une bonne communication écrite et orale dans les deux langues.
o L’anglais est nécessaire pour communiquer avec les employés de l’entreprise aux États-Unis et avec les fournisseurs en dehors de la province.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Purchasing Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of inventory control, supplier management, and the ability to prioritize procurement needs for both production operations and machine maintenance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • PMAC accreditation or certification enrollment an asset
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with purchasing parts for maintenance is an asset.
  • Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in purchasing software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and procurement best practices.
  • Languages:
  • Bilingual (French and English) is required, with strong written and verbal communication in both languages.
  • English is required in order to communicate with US corporate employees and out of the province suppliers.
Responsibilities
  • Purchasing:
  • Procure, schedule and expedite orders using various software tools.
  • Manage the purchasing of raw materials, components, and spare parts for production and maintenance.
  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts to minimize downtime and production delays.
  • Analyze and monitor maintenance purchases and request bids periodically.
  • Monitor and control daily purchasing requirements.
  • Oversee service contract administration including building and grounds maintenance, health & safety, and office equipment.
  • Approve transport invoices.
  • Supplier Management:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best pricing, quality, and delivery times.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers in the field of MRO, Construction, Packaging, Manufacturing and office supplies.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, and price criteria.
  • Follow-up with suppliers for non-conformance and establish corrective actions in accordance with company standards.
  • Inventory & Order Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and manage reordering processes for spare parts and materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchases and inventory levels.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders and deliveries.
  • Reporting & Documentation:
  • Prepare purchasing reports, including budget tracking, vendor performance, and supply chain analysis.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as order confirmations, delivery tracking, and invoice processing.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Maintenance, Production, Finance) to align purchasing activities with departmental and company goals.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department to forecast part usage and prioritize critical needs.
