JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education requirements:

  • DCS in Administration, Logistics or a related field.

Technical skills:

  • 7 to 10 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • Expertise in procurement, aerospace or manufacturing (a plus);
  • Experience with an MRP/ERP system (knowledge of Epicor is a plus);
  • Good knowledge of purchasing and supplier management practices;
  • Good command of IT tools, particularly Microsoft Office;
  • Written and oral communication skills in French and advanced English.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the purchasing director, the senior buyer plays a strategic role within the organisation by ensuring the efficient management of suppliers and optimising the procurement process. He or she is responsible for validating requirements, monitoring orders and negociating contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Negociate and manage supplier contracts, including pricing, delivery and payment terms, while maintaining long-term relationships;
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers on the basis of quality, cost, reliability and reputation;
  • Ensuring compliance with internal procurement and order fulfilment procedures;
  • Analyse market trends, costs and supplier performance to optimise purchasing strategies;
  • Monitoring and renewing contracts in line with supplier performance and the company’s changing needs;
  • Support the operational team in resolving issues relating to delivery times;
  • Developing and implementing high value-added cost reduction strategies;
  • Ensuring that contracts, prices and specifications are accurate and in line with the company’s requirements;
  • Proactively solving supply problems and proposing innovative solutions;
  • Ensuring smooth communication with suppliers and internal teams to align objectives;
  • Adopt a proactive approach focused on results and continuous improvement.
