An exciting opportunity to make a real difference in young people’s lives - become part of an established team to inspire, motivate and engage young people, supporting their skills development. Equipping our future workforce for work and life.
‘Employers are from Mars, Young People are from Venus’ was a conclusion the CIPD made in their research paper when discussing the mismatch of employers expectations of young people in the recruitment process and young people’s understanding of what employers are looking for. This is something we at NYBEP are very passionate about, believing every young person should have the opportunity to learn and develop the transferable skills they need to progress in work and life.
Funded in partnership with Anglo American and The Woodsmith Foundation, the Achieve Programme is dedicated to equipping disadvantaged young people in the region with the support, skills, and connections they need to reach their full potential.
NYBEP is looking for a passionate and organised Achieve Project Adviser to lead a careers-focused extracurricular programme supporting students in the Achieve cohort across North Yorkshire secondary schools. Your work will help young people build confidence, develop essential skills, and explore pathways to education, training, and employment — supporting their personal development and aspirations every step of the way.
You’ll coordinate and deliver a rich variety of activities that boost aspiration, employability, and engagement—including:
✨ Work experience and industry-led projects
✨ CEIAG group guidance sessions
✨ Employability and life skills workshops
✨ A university-based residential experience
✨ Social action projects and family events
✨ AQA certification and celebration events
This is a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need it most. Joining a values-led, supportive team dedicated to removing barriers for success and opening doors to opportunities. Creating brighter futures through real-world experiences and mentoring through an inclusive, flexible delivery programme.
