Company sponsored events included.  POSITION SUMMARY ~ 1st shift ~ 6:00am-2:30pm The Acid Brush Machine Operator "C" is responsible for making the brushes, shaving the brushes, and ensuring overall quality of the product. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * At the start of each shift, check the order, make sure all necessary materials are at work station, start and cycle machine 3 times. * Shave tops of brushes to clean up any uneven hair. * Verify correct length of tube, hair, and overall brush, using a ruler. * Check overall quality of brushes, including tubes, seams, hair, and staples. * Fill machine with hair, as needed. * Place clean brushes in appropriate box. Close gross box when full (144) and place in master carton. * Place labels on master cartons, sign and date label. * Responsible for cleanliness of machine and department. * Expected to achieve daily quotas. See supervisor for specifics on a particular machine. * Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
