POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for an ACM Panel Designer / Drafting Specialist to join our design and production team. In this role, you will prepare detailed shop drawings, fabrication details, and cutting files for CNC production. Your work will be essential in turning architectural designs into precise, buildable panel systems.

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

Education: Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or Engineering (or equivalent experience).

EXPERIENCE:

o 2+ years in cladding, curtain wall, ACM panel systems, or architectural drafting.
o Experience with shop drawings for building façades is a strong asset.

SOFTWARE SKILLS:

o AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory.
o Knowledge of CAM software or CNC cutting file preparation is an advantage.

KNOWLEDGE:

o Building envelope systems, panel fabrication details, and construction tolerances.
o Reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.

OTHER SKILLS:

o Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
o Good communication skills for coordination with project managers and production teams.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt to custom projects.

• Create shop drawings and fabrication details for ACM cladding and façade systems.
• Work with architectural drawings and project specifications to produce accurate layouts.
• Develop panel breakdowns and optimization plans for CNC routing and fabrication.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and production teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy.
• Prepare cutting files for CNC machines and validate dimensions before production.
• Assist with material take-offs, quantity estimation, and technical documentation.
• Revise and update drawings based on site measurements and client feedback.
