Job Summary: Erlanger is seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our specialized Pediatrics Colorectal and Bladder Center. This is a full-time, day shift position that offers dynamic blend of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering comprehensive care to pediatric patients with complex colorectal and bladder conditions. Primary duties will include conduction consultations, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and providing expert care within our clinic setting. The provider will play an essential part in delivering complex colorectal and bladder conditions, supporting families through diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes innovation, patient-centered care and professional development. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation. Required Education: Graduate of a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the American Academy of Physician Assistant. BS/BA required or completion from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program, Family Nurse Practitioner Program with Acute Care certification Required Experience: One to three years' experience in Pediatrics. Preferred: New graduates accepted based upon recommendations and references provided. Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants Performs under current legislation of the State of Tennessee (HB 1601, Public Chapter #719) Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Tennessee Department Position Summary: An allied health professional, employed by Erlanger Health Systems, who performs as a physician extender by providing direct and indirect patient care (both inpatient and outpatient) under orders of the attending physician and within the guidelines of the current legislation of the State of Tennessee. Employee will have significant interaction with residents and faculty of UT Family Practice Residency Program, thus allowing the program to be an additional training tool in the area of preparing residents to work with physician extenders The Pediatrics Colorectal and Bladder Center at Erlanger is a highly specialized program dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of complex colorectal and bladder conditions in children. The center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care that integrates advanced surgical techniques, medical management, and family-centered support. Our team collaborates closely with pediatric surgeons, urologists, gastroenterologists, and other specialists to deliver individualized treatment plans that improve quality of life and promote optimal outcomes. The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate of the age of the patients served by UT Family Practice Center. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development relative to his or her age-specific needs and to provide care needed as described in the center's policies and procedures.
