ACOUSTIC LOGGING TECHNICIAN - SOUTH EAST WATER

RPS are seeking Acoustic Logging Technicians for our South East Water contract to take noise samples on the water network. We have opportunities available in Hampshire and Berkshire. This is truly a great opportunity for an individual to develop their skills and experience with one of the UK’s leading Environmental Consultancies.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• You will enjoy working outdoors, as most of your work is conducted outside (rain or shine)
• A good standard of basic maths and English
• Basic IT skills
• Willing to work nights, weekends and overtime as required
• Have good hearing
• Happy working alone and as part of a team

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Full UK driving licence #LI-JP1

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Locating water main fittings
• Taking noise samples using electronic leak detection equipment
  (Full training will be provided)

This role may involve:

• Moving heavy items including inspection chamber covers
• Working in all weather conditions (this could include night work also)
• You may be required to work in confined spaces and on highways
• Please note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role and a DBS check will be undertake
