Acoustics Engineer (Experienced or Senior) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an energetic and innovative Acoustics Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join the BCA Flight Sciences team in North Charleston, SC. The BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina team has a growing demand for engineering talent to support 787 production and delivery activities. This team is responsible for resolving noise and vibration issues that are identified during manufacturing and/or testing ahead of delivery. This team is part of the larger Flight Sciences organization and may support other programs and activities as required. As an Acoustics Engineer, you will be working on noise and vibration issues that directly impact communities around airports, passengers of commercial airplanes around the world and personnel that work on the aircraft. Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) Acoustics Engineer. Position Responsibilities: Performs acoustic analysis to support BCA Flight Sciences South Carolina statement of work Drives resolution of acoustic and vibroacoustic issues during aircraft manufacturing and customer delivery Conducts acoustic/vibroacoustic tests Develops and improves acoustics/aeroacoustics/vibroacoustic prediction and control technologies Supports internal and external customer requests for operational and compliance vibration/acoustic data of aircraft Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry 5+ years of related work experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering or related discipline Practical and theoretical knowledge of acoustics or noise control or vibration engineering Experience with 787 production support Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
