Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting opportunity for an Acquisition Program Systems Engineer (Journeyman) supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate (AFLCMC/EBD-Attack Division). This position provides engineering and technical support from concept development through fielding and sustainment of air armament and conventional munitions systems. The Journeyman Engineer supports systems engineering, technical reviews, requirements analysis, trade studies, and documentation development in accordance with DoD acquisition policy. The position includes support to international armaments cooperation and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities, as applicable. This is a full-time onsite position at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Responsibilities The Journeyman Acquisition Program Engineer shall provide engineering support across the acquisition life cycle, including material solution analysis, technology development, engineering and manufacturing development, production, deployment, and sustainment phases. This position supports a wide range of armament and munitions systems, including missiles, bombs, cruise missiles, directed energy systems, warheads, fuzes, seekers, aircraft integration systems, munitions handling equipment, and related subsystems. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Support systems engineering activities including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification and validation (V&V), configuration management, interface management, and risk management. Assist in development and review of technical documentation such as Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), technical reports, briefings, and milestone documentation. Support technical reviews and assessments including System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRA), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs). Conduct engineering analyses and trade studies addressing performance, reliability, maintainability, producibility, cost, schedule, and risk. Review and analyze contractor proposals, technical data packages, and engineering modifications for feasibility, compatibility, and cost effectiveness. Assist in translating user requirements and operational needs into system and subsystem requirements. Support Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) activities using Government-approved models and tools. Provide technical support to risk management activities and program baseline management. Support development of milestone documentation and acquisition artifacts in accordance with DoD and Air Force acquisition policy. Provide engineering input to source selection activities in a non-decision-making advisory role. Support evaluation of system readiness for production and sustainment. Assist with Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case support as required. Provide technical input to training system requirements, simulator evaluations, and system integration activities. Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support program objectives. Qualifications Qualifications Citizenship-Must be a U.S. Citizen. Minimum Required Qualifications:Clearance:Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (Active Secret preferred).
