Purpose / Summary of Position: The Acquisitions Analyst will support HPI’s Opportunity Platform in pursuing new business opportunities as well as compiling and modeling market data across Texas and the Sunbelt markets, with a focus on distressed debt, distressed and conventional acquisitions across all asset types. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct financial analysis, including the creation of detailed pro-forma, cash flow and financial valuation models, across all asset classes. Research, gather and compile market data to identify market trends, and prepare detailed market narrative reports and summaries. Consolidating, analyzing, and modeling financial data, for owned assets, including budget analysis and income statement forecasting. Interfacing with HPI team, outside brokers, and other market participants to aid in sourcing new opportunities and managing the platform’s internal pipeline. Preparation and development of presentations and memoranda to support the transaction and asset management processes, to include presentations to internal and external partners. Development of financial model and document abstracts to aid in the underwriting process. Aid in running the platform’s weekly investment committee meeting. Interface with other HPI employees, from partners down to analysts, as well as with individuals outside the firm, from lawyers, brokers, property owners, etc., in order to complete all of the above. Requirements General Duties and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required 1-3 years of experience in underwriting and analysis with a real estate focus Able to type efficiently and use 10-key by touch. Exceptional customer service skills. Excellent Excel modeling skills. Experience with Argus Software. Ability to think analytically, multi-task, and prioritize Strong analytical mindset with great attention to detail Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, strengths in spreadsheets, databases, and presentations Excellent written and verbal communication.
