Actemium Automation Hampshire – part of VINCI Energies – is seeking a skilled OT Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on designing, building, and securing OT infrastructure including SCADA servers and industrial network systems, with a strong emphasis on Schneider Electric and Rockwell Automation. Key Responsibilities – OT Project Engineering & Cyber-Secure Infrastructure Design, build, and configure OT servers to enable the deployment of SCADA platforms, whilst following standards, ensuring robust architecture and high availability. Review, design, and implement industrial network switch configurations, including redundancy protocols and secure communication pathways. Understand OT system vulnerabilities and drive remedial actions to improve cyber security and resilience. Ensuring the operation and performance of critical national infrastructure within automation controls. Collaborate with software and controls engineers to integrate OT systems with different PLC/SCADA platforms Mentor junior engineers to develop OT and network skills across the business Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and client handover phases for OT infrastructure projects. Maintain and update technical documentation including network diagrams, system architecture, and cyber security assessments. Conduct site surveys and provide technical support during deployment and troubleshooting. Essential Skills & Experience – OT Project Engineer Recognised engineering qualification (Degree, HNC, HND or equivalent) in Computer Science, Automation, Controls, or related discipline. Proven experience designing and implementing OT systems including SCADA servers and industrial network switches. Strong understanding of OT cyber security principles, threat mitigation, and vulnerability management. Familiarity with automation platforms and industrial protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel to client and project sites across Hampshire. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience with industrial cyber security standards (e.g. IEC 62443). Knowledge of digital transformation trends in the automation sector.
