Main Responsibilities – Senior Project Manager Lead, organise, and motivate teams to deliver automation and control projects to client specifications and deadlines. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to ensure successful project outcomes. Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and present regular project progress reports, facilitating project meetings with multidisciplinary teams. Drive project quality through compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements. Support the development of junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practice in project management. The Person – Skills & Experience Required for Senior Project Manager Significant experience managing engineering, automation, or control systems projects, ideally within industrial sectors. Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management abilities with a people-centric and collaborative approach. Proven track record of delivering projects to deadline, budget, and specification. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage contracts, procurement, and project finances. Proficient in project management methodologies (such as Prince2, PMBOK, or Agile) and use of project planning and reporting tools. Relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related technical or business field. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
