The Opportunity (12 month fixed term role commencing 2026)
Carey Baptist College Harrisdale is seeking a relational, purpose driven Assistant Principal Pastoral Care - a pivotal position at the heart of our primary school community. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will champion student wellbeing, guide behaviour support, foster meaningful family engagement, and empower staff in pastoral care practices, all deeply anchored in our Christian values.
This role is dedicated to nurturing the emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing of young learners. You will cultivate a culture of connection, inclusion and spiritual growth, where every student feels known, supported, and ready to flourish. Working closely with families and staff, you will guide age appropriate pastoral strategies, lead early intervention efforts, and model the Christian values that shape our school culture. Your leadership will ensure continuity, care, and connection, especially in moments that matter most. The position requires strong leadership across staff teams, active engagement with families, and strategic oversight of pastoral programs. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Assistant Principal also contributes to whole school planning, compliance with care regulations, and the spiritual ethos of the College.
