We’ll help you learn, support your success, and surround you with people who believe in service, community, respect, and making a meaningful difference every day.   Pay Range ✔ $15 - $16.50 Employment Type & Schedule ✔ Part-Time | Rotating Weekends | Variable Hours   Why Join Resthaven? ✔ No mandatory overtime (No Mandation) ✔ Agency-free care teams ✔ NOMI Health Insurance Network – $0 copays, $0 deductibles, and $0 coinsurance for full-time employees ✔ Tuition reimbursement eligibility after 6 months ✔ Supportive, mission-driven work culture ✔ Career growth and advancement opportunities ✔ Make a meaningful impact in the lives of residents every day   Essential Responsibilities ✔ Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging group activities for residents. ✔ Provide meaningful one-on-one activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and needs. ✔ Document resident participation and attendance in accordance with department guidelines. ✔ Assist with the development and implementation of the monthly activity calendar. ✔ Support and coordinate volunteers participating in resident programs and events. ✔ Prepare activity spaces and maintain activity supplies, equipment, and program areas. ✔ Participate in resident outings, special events, and transportation activities as needed. ✔ Foster positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and interdisciplinary team members to support individualized care plans. ✔ Assist with food and beverage service during activities while adhering to resident dietary restrictions and safety standards. ✔ Complete assigned projects and department tasks in a timely manner.   Education, Training, Experience ✔ High school diploma or GED preferred. ✔ College coursework in Recreational Therapy, Social Work, Gerontology, Human Services, or a related field preferred. ✔ Previous experience working with older adults, senior living communities, healthcare, recreation, or activity programming preferred. ✔ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage groups and individuals effectively. ✔ Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with residents, families, team members, volunteers, and leadership. ✔ Ability to speak clearly and confidently when facilitating activities and making announcements. ✔ Ability to redirect and encourage resident participation in a positive, supportive manner. ✔ Basic computer skills, including experience with common software applications. ✔ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
Plan and lead engaging group and one-on-one activities tailored to the interests and needs of older adult residents. Coordinate volunteers and maintain activity spaces while documenting resident participation.
