Description
Title:  Activity Aide Reports to: Activities Director Position Summary:  Performs duties involving the implementation of an activity program, which meets physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests of residents. Duties and Responsibilities:  The employee is required to be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position. 1. Responsible for the planning of activities to meet resident’s specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled 2. Maintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulations and attendance book. 3. Assures personal and staff compliance to all State and Federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous material, and fire safety. 4. Assures personal and staff compliance to Resident’s Rights. 5. Responsible for initial assessment, picture and front name board.  6. Compose monthly contributions, including the monthly Activities calendar, pass out newsletter, post daily contributions on menu board, date board and pass out nametags. 7. Will be expected to participate in Department in-service training. Required Education/Experience: 1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Must be able to speak and understand English 3. 1 year experience in activities in a SNF or assisted living environment preferred.
