About the role: As the Activities Apprentice you will support the operations of Flint Valley (FV) activities, aquatics, and challenge course. In this hands-on role you’ll gain experience in facilitation, teaching activity classes, lifeguarding, course inspection and maintenance, staff recruitment, supervision, and training, as well as budgeting, planning, and team dynamics. You'll be a part of the Guest Services team, gaining insight into how camp ministry and activities function while contributing directly to New Life Ranch’s mission. The objective of this apprenticeship is to immerse you in the full scope of our activities program, equipping you with the knowledge, skills, and experience to give you a foundation for further work in this field. About you: You are eager to learn and collaborate. You take initiative in your work, and set goals to track your progress. You are comfortable managing and coaching direct reports in projects and their development. You exhibit Christlike character and professionalism through interactions on the phone and in person. You posses, or are willing to complete, ACCT Level 1 challenge course facilitation and lifeguard certification. You respect the risk that comes along with camp activities, and will diligently uphold and enforce risk management protocols. You can facilitate a group through challenging scenarios with an outcome of learning (preferred but can be trained on the job). Read more about what you'll do.
