Join our team at the Orchards of Minnetonka Senior Living as our Activities Assistant!  Benefits:  * 401(k) Match * Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance * Life Insurance * Paid Vacation Time and Paid Sick Time * Paid Holidays and Floating Holidays * DailyPay Activities Assistant Responsibilities: * Responsible for assisting with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program. * Assess resident’s recreational and social needs. * Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events. * Lead small, large, and one on one activity programs with seniors. * Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc. * Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.  * Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.  * Maintain the bus interior and exterior.  Report maintenance needs in timely manner.  * Other duties as assigned.   Activities Assistant Qualifications: * Minimum of 1-year activities experience in independent retirement, assisted living, adult day services or long-term care facility serving a senior population.  * Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record. * Currently possess a Class C license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. * Ability to use basic Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) computer programs. * Creativity in developing and planning activity programs. * Group leadership and interpersonal skills to lead one on one, small, and large group activities.  * Able to make responsible choices and decisions, and act in a resident’s best interest. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting with the planning, promotion, and leading of events and programs, which includes assessing resident recreational needs and supporting the development of the monthly activity calendar. This role also involves leading various activity formats, researching speakers, coordinating transportation for outside events, and directing assigned volunteers.
