Job Details Job Location: YAKIMA, WA 98908 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Not Specified Salary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: Willow Springs Care and Rehab Job Shift: Day Job Title: Activities Assistant Position Type: Full-Time Schedule: Alternating schedule to allow for every other weekend off Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents through engaging recreational programs and events. This role supports the Activity Director in planning and executing meaningful activities that promote wellness, socialization, creativity, and emotional well-being for residents in our skilled nursing facility. Key Responsibilities: Assist with implementing daily, weekly, and monthly activity programs as directed by the Activity Director. Supervise and ensure the safety of residents during activities, events, and outings. Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and activity logs. Provide engaging programs that meet the psychological, social, spiritual, and recreational needs of residents. Participate in planning and leading activities both inside and outside the facility, such as games, arts and crafts, parties, and community outings. Support residents by helping write letters, delivering reading material, and providing companionship to those who are room-bound. Help organize and maintain activity supplies, books, magazines, and recreational equipment. Shop with or on behalf of residents, when appropriate. Perform light personal services for residents, such as adjusting televisions or radios, running errands, or providing comfort measures. Ensure activity areas and resident rooms remain clean and safe. Attend required in-service training and staff meetings. May be asked to drive the facility van (training available). Perform other duties as assigned by the Activity Director. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience working with seniors or in a long-term care setting is a plus. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Creativity, patience, and a genuine desire to work with the elderly. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays. Why Join Us?
