We are seeking a passionate and creative Recreational Therapist to help enhance the quality of life for our seniors through meaningful recreational activities and entertainment. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the recreational activities coordinator in planning and implementing engaging programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities - Facilitate daily recreational activities and entertainment sessions from 4pm to 8pm, seven days a week - Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages socialization and participation among residents - Monitor and evaluate residents’ responses to activities, making adjustments as needed to ensure enjoyment and safety - Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation - Collaborate with staff and family members to support residents’ individual needs and preferences Skills and Qualifications: - Previous experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field preferred - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging seniors in meaningful activities - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards seniors - Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as scheduled - High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in recreational therapy or activity planning are a plus At Grand Villa, we pride ourselves on fostering a warm, welcoming community where staff can grow professionally while making a real difference in residents’ lives.
