Description Activities Assistant (Part-Time) Grand Villa of Palm Bay is seeking a dedicated and experienced Activities Assistant to join our team in providing engaging recreational therapy and support with activities of daily living for our valued senior residents. Key Responsibilities: - Assist the Activities Director in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities - Support residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and well-being - Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages social interaction and engagement - Help coordinate special events and outings to enhance residents' quality of life - Monitor and document residents' participation and response to activities - Ensure the safety and comfort of residents during activities and daily routines Skills and Qualifications: - Prior experience in recreational therapy, activities assistance, or a related field preferred - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs - Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends - Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging seniors in meaningful activities - Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in senior care At Grand Villa of Palm Bay, we pride ourselves on fostering a caring and supportive community where our staff can grow professionally and personally.
