Description As an Activities Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in creating a vibrant and welcoming environment for our resort guests. You’ll help plan, coordinate, and lead a variety of recreational activities that bring people together and enhance their stay. This is a seasonal position that starts in May and ends in October. Requirements Perform as a Jellystone Park mascot by engaging in playful interactions while maintaining the character's personality and creating a memorable experience for guests of all ages Coordinate and attend all activities such as crafts, games, special events, etc. Operate cash register by receiving, counting, and managing cash transactions Set up and clean up after crafts and events, as well as maintain costume care Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance for each activity Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition Maintain the appearance of the Arcade, Bowling Alley, and Recreation Center, both indoors and outdoors, by completing daily cleaning tasks Must have a reliable source of transportation Other job duties may be assigned Job Qualifications: Wear/perform as a mascot Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask Ability to work well independently as well as on a team Good customer service skills Physical Requirements & Work Schedule: The physical demands described here represent those necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While carrying out job duties, team members are regularly required to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. The role also involves frequent lifting and moving of items up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Work hours may vary weekly and are influenced by factors such as guest occupancy, seasonal demand, and staffing levels.
