Position: Activities Bus Driver, PRN Schedule: The schedule varies and is considered PRN or “as needed”, and can include 1-2 Saturday nights per month from 6pm - 11pm and additional weekends as needed, plus one 4-6 hour trip per week during midday. This position is responsible for transporting residents to grocery store, monthly outings and extended trips as scheduled.    Primary Responsibilities: * Pickup and deliver residents safely to all scheduled activities where transportation is needed. * Open vehicle doors and greet residents and guests. * Carefully help residents and guests who need assistance. Retrieve/Replace walkers, wheelchairs, etc. and assist as needed. * Make miscellaneous runs for the office to the bank, printer, post office, etc. as needed. * Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, inside and out. * Maintains an accurate and current log of trips and mileage for Cypress vehicles.   Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent required. * Minimum of six to twelve months’ experience as a bus/van driver required. * Must be at least 18 years or older and have a valid driver license and maintain a “clean” driving record. * Must have CDL with “P” endorsement. * Ability to count and perform simple logic exercises to properly park and retrieve vehicles. * Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.  * Pleasant, tactful, courteous, and cooperative with both members and other employees. * Ability to fully comprehend others and communicate in a respectful, understanding, and empathetic manner demonstrating tolerance and exemplary customer service with members, families, guests, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and any other outside contacts. * Must be able to effectively communicate, read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.   Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:  This position requires sitting 50% of the day and must be able to frequently stand, stoop, bend, squat throughout a shift and be able to stand/walk for up to 50% of the work day. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. without assistance and carry for 15 feet.  Exposure to inclement weather conditions i.e., rain, cold, heat, etc. Must be able to frequently get in and out of automobiles and drive short distances for member pick-up and deliveries. Responsibilities
