Description

ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND COMMITTED TO MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE?

Join Amegreen Children’s Services as an Activities Coordinator and support children with challenging behaviours and learning disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to blend your enthusiasm for the outdoors with rewarding, hands-on care work that truly matters.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Love for the Outdoors: You thrive in nature and enjoy encouraging young people to take on outdoor challenges and activities.
  • Compassionate Nature: You’re empathetic, patient, and committed to supporting children with complex needs, helping them feel safe and understood.
  • Age Requirements: You must be 21 or older and hold a full UK driving licence to meet care and transport needs.
  • Right to Work: You must be legally eligible to work in the UK.
Location: Our homes are located across the West Berkshire area, and as part of this role, you may be required to travel between them to support different teams as needed. For this reason, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential. We’re looking for someone who values flexibility and is happy to step in where needed.
Hours: 40 hours per week (varied hours) including weekends where needed
Responsibilities
  • Providing Consistent Care: Build strong, trusting relationships with the young people, offering day-to-day support, emotional guidance, and a stable presence to help them grow and succeed.
  • Leading Outdoor Adventures: Take the lead in a variety of outdoor activities to help develop resilience, teamwork, and self-confidence.
  • Promoting Growth and Development: Be a positive role model, encouraging personal and social skills through both planned activities and everyday routines.
  • Working as One Team: Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where each young person can thrive.
