ACTIVITIES CO-ORDINATOR

Location - Woodstock Care and Nursing Home, North Upton Lane, Gloucester, GL4 3TD
Hours - 35 hours per week, shifts vary between 9am-5pm on a rota basis with alternative weekends required
Salary - £12.21 per hour, paid monthly

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE AND SKILLS THAT YOU WILL NEED

At Woodstock, we have a very simple aim, to ensure that our residents feel not just cared for, but valued, important and loved.
As our Activities Co-ordinator you will take a leading role in providing a person-centred program of activities, which considers the needs, wishes and desires of our individual residents.
You will need to be able to understand the needs of older people and have excellent organisational skills. You will required to organise your own social activities for our lovely residents.
You need to be computer literate and be familiar with using various social media platforms and have a creative flair.

YOUR ROLE MAY INCLUDE:

  • Talking to residents about the types of activities they would like to do
  • Organising activities that are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of individuals as well as group activities
  • Booking external suppliers to provide entertainment
  • Arranging trips out in the local community, considering transport arrangements and accessibility
  • Assisting people to take part in activities
