DESCRIPTION

Lakeside View is looking to recruit a Activities Co-ordinator to join the team, Acute 30 beds, male and female, 18+. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours.
Priory Lakeside View in Willenhall, West Midlands, supports 30 adults with acute mental health needs within a safe, therapeutic environment. We have two male wards in the main building, and a female ward in a separate building. From the point of admission into our acute services, we aim to support people to safely discharge back into the community, where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

  • Support senior staff with patient screening and assessments as part of the care and therapy planning process.
  • Prepares, plans and delivers group and individual recreational and occupational activities, observing, recording and reporting patient responses to the assigned clinician as appropriate.
  • Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed.
  • Contributes to surveys, audits and clinical research projects assisting with collection, analysis and presentation of data and information as directed

This role carries shared responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality, security, and accuracy of records, data, and information, while ensuring that all documentation is of high quality and compliant with regulatory guidelines and statutory requirements. The post holder will be educated to GCSE/O-Level standard (grades A–C) or hold a relevant NVQ Level 2, with experience gained within a related clinical or therapeutic environment.
