We are looking for a lively, creative and caring Activities Coordinator to join the Arlington House team.
Our home cares for 25 residents, some of whom have dementia. We are looking for someone to organise daily meaningful activities , and to increase the home’s presence in the local community.

The role will Include:

  • Planning and implementing activities appropriate to Residents’ needs and requests
  • To organise fundraising events
  • To provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes, including group and 1:1 activities
  • To liaise with local community groups and encourage community involvement
  • Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Care Home’s activities

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • Experience of a care setting, specifically with elderly residents is desirable. Experience of working with residents with dementia is also advantageous
  • IT literate with good administration skills
  • An outgoing and friendly manner is essential for this role, able to motivate and encourage.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create a fun and positive environment

The ideal candidate will be a self starter, with strong communication and admin skills.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 7.5 – 12.5 per week
