Activities Coordinator The Activities Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of recreational activities in the Day Center for PACE Participants, as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing all-inclusive care. This position will build a sense of community and warm social atmosphere for the participants, evaluate their needs, and develop group and individual programming to meet those needs.  What is PACE? PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors' health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 163 PACE programs, serving more than 72,000 participants in 32 states. The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise. What You Bring: * High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree in related field preferred. * Current CPR certificate, maintained throughout employment. * Experience working with older adults. * Experience in recreational therapy or activity planning preferred. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Effectively and respectfully communicate both verbally and in writing in multitude of situations and settings. * Effectively work with and build relationships with others. * A genuine spirit of caring and compassion * Valid Colorado driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance and access to reliable transportation if working in the community setting What We Offer: * Competitive pay structure starting at $20.79-$23.00 per hour, depending on experience. * Full-time hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm * Cigna Health, Dental, and Vision insurance effective the month following start date. * Immediately start accruing PTO and medical leave. * 15% discount at Spoons Bistro & Bakery, and Heirlooms locations. * Up to 3% match on 403B retirement. * Employer paid life insurance and EAP. * Mileage reimbursement for work-related driving. * Additional pay for bilingual fluency. * Tuition reimbursement program.
