Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our Activities Coordinator, you’ll play a vital part in helping residents lead meaningful, enjoyable lives through stimulating activities, social events, and one-to-one engagement. You’ll work closely with residents, staff, and the wider community to create and deliver a varied programme of activities that support wellbeing, independence, and dignity.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver engaging group and 1-to-1 activities based on residents’ interests, needs, and preferences.
  • Create and maintain individual social care plans for each resident within 2 weeks of admission.
  • Organise events both inside and outside the home, ensuring accessibility and safety.
  • Build relationships with local community groups, encouraging visits, volunteers, and outings.
  • Celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and cultural or religious festivals.
  • Keep accurate records of activities and ensure they are within the home’s allocated budget.
  • Support residents with dementia or mobility challenges during sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of activities through feedback and resident participation.
