Description

CONTRACTED HOURS: 37.5

Ridgeway Rise Care Home is a purpose built luxury care home offering Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care for 73 residents.
We are looking for a special person who truly believes in bringing joy and sunshine into our residents’ lives every day. With a genuine passion for the older generation, you will be sociable, creative, fun loving and well organised. Caring for our residents is at the heart of what we do, but supporting someone’s wellbeing goes far beyond watching television or playing a game of bingo. Driven by our team of Activities Coordinators, you will make sure residents’ days are filled with fun, variety and stimulation. Building rapport with residents and learning their preferences is key, and you will be inclusive of individual choices and care needs which range from low level support through to dementia and nursing. Experience in a care home is not a prerequisite — we are looking for someone who sparkles and enjoys having fun while making a real difference to our residents.

ABOUT US

Ridgeway Rise Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family owned, market leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom. We are committed to delivering outstanding care in specialist settings and creating supportive workplaces where our teams can grow and flourish.
Our five core values – Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, Inclusivity – guide everything we do. If you share these values and want to build your career in a home where you are truly appreciated, we would love to hear from you

Responsibilities

As Activities Coordinator you will plan and organise monthly rolling programmes and individual activities that encourage residents to stay active and maintain their hobbies. You will foster social connections by helping residents to socialise and enjoy a range of activities that cater for different preferences and abilities. You will keep accurate records of activity participation and outcomes to help demonstrate impact and support ongoing improvement. You will work closely with the care team to ensure activities are safe, person centred and meaningful for each resident.
