Description Title: Activity Director Department: Administration Location: Symphony Care Network Linden Status: Full Time Essential Functions: Develop an ongoing program for group and individual activities based on the residents’ needs, interest, and abilities as identified in assessment / care plans Participate in care plan meetings Complete required record keeping upon resident admission, discharge, transfer; chart and document per facility policy Activity Director will create the activity calendar Provide training and in-services Implement and maintain established policies and procedures Activity Director will guide, lead and provide motivation for participation in Resident Council, schedule monthly meetings Lead, establish, supervise and maintain the volunteer program Qualifications/Experience: Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or an activities professional, who is eligible for certification Activity Director 1 - 2 years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting
Responsibilities
The Activities Director will develop ongoing programs for group and individual activities tailored to residents' needs and interests. They will also lead and supervise the volunteer program and guide Resident Council meetings.
