Description Job Position: Activity Aide Direct Supervisor: Activity Director Job Summary: Assists the Activity Director in planning and executing recreational, social, intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs for all residents. Job Qualifications: Good verbal and written communication skills, including writing in a manner suitable for documentation. Working knowledge of and ability to assume a leadership role in conducting a variety of activities such as crafts, creative expression, music, games and gardening. Current CPR and First Aid Certificates desired. Feeding Assistant Certified required (will provide training) Good interpersonal skills including group dynamics and teamwork. Cheerfulness, positive attitude and ability to motivate people. Genuine liking and respect for the elderly and physically and mentally challenged. Ability to work independently and with supervision. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position. Assist as needed with dining room tasks. Flexible hours starting at 8:30 am Job Type: Part-time

Responsibilities

Assist the Activity Director in planning and executing various programs for residents. Engage residents in recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual activities.
