Description Royal Atrium Inn located in Zeeland, MI is currently seeking an Activity Aide, Part Time for our Independent Living Community. This is an excellent career opportunity for individuals who are truly passionate about providing meaningful activities for our residents. Schedule for this position: Monday, Tuesday, Friday at 9:00AM - 3:00PM and Saturday at 9AM-12PM. Total 18-20 hours per week. May require to work some evenings throughout the year. The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in the planning, implementation of recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs, and as may be directed by the Life Enrichment Director. Summary of essential job functions: Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activity programs. Encourage residents to participate in scheduled activity programs. Create a positive atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and fun. Befriend residents to encourage resident self-esteem. Promote an environment of safety. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm and ability to incorporate these into life enrichment services. Must possess leadership ability, ability to receive direction, and willingness to work harmoniously with others. Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet. Requirements General computer and social media knowledge and musical capability a plus. Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Previous experience is a plus but is not required. Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprinting and successfully complete the orientation program for Caregiver. EOE #HIGH1
