Description Title: Activity Aide Department: Administration Location: Symphony Care Network Status: Full or Part Time Essential Functions: Assist our residents’ with activities to provide social communication, entertainment, exercise and relaxation for our residents. Lead group and individual resident activities Complete required record keeping per facility policy Qualifications/Experience: Ability to plan, organize, and lead activities Ability to work every other weekend as well as some holidays 1 + years’ experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting (preferred) Requirements Education: Minimum of High School diploma Related Experience: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate within the facility and community representation. Analytical skills necessary to assist guests’ needs and design appropriate plans. Ability to persevere in problem solving. Previous nursing home experience preferable. Other Requirements: Must possess valid chauffeurs license (not commercial) and have a good driving record Personal Characteristics: · This person must have a pleasant personality and demeanor. · This person must be able to relate well-to seniors and to his/her co-workers. · Must be neat and well-groomed in appearance. · Must have good sense of humor and enjoy working with elderly.
