Responsibilities/Qualifications Oakleigh of Macomb Senior Living Community is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant who enjoys working with the elderly population! We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, quick thinking, kindhearted and want to contribute to the life enrichment team for the benefit of our residents. Life enrichment goes far beyond BINGO and arts and crafts. We strive to make every day a better day in the lives of our residents. We support our residents interests and social needs. This is a part time position. This is a part-time position Job Responsibilities: Responsible for implementing the daily life enrichment program for the community Assist in developing a varied program of meaningful activities and events that are balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements Assist community groups that come into the facility Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays Maintains inventory of supplies and manages the budget Assist in developing programs for outings Educates, trains and encourages team members on life enrichment opportunities to make meaningful connections Gathers information to compile a biography on each person who moves in Assist in developing a calendar rich in engaging activities and community newsletter monthly Qualifications: High level of ability in effective and succinct communication, both written and oral with residents, families, team members, vendors and the general public High school diploma or GED required Some experience preferred Moderate computer knowledge Ability to multitask Must be able to effectively communicate and document in English Must be able to verify eligibility to work in the United States Must pass a criminal background check Must have a current TB test and Physical Benefits: Opportunities for advancement Paid orientation and training Employee recognition events Paid time off Medical, dental and vision available for full time employees
Responsibilities
