Description Job Description An Activity Assistant is responsible for conducting activities that engage the residents and enhance their quality of life. An Activity Assistant must document attendance and participation of residents at the various activities. An Activity Assistant may also be required to plan engaging activities with the residents. Shift Times Monday - Friday 3:30-8:00 (some, not every) Saturday and Sunday 3:00-6:00 (some, not every) Minimum Starting Pay: $16/hr Requirements Must be enthusiastic and able to interact well with the elderly. Must be a strong team player and have a good work ethic. Must be able to effectively communicate with residents, families or residents, volunteers, employees and community members. Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must possess physical stamina required for standing long periods of time (a minimum of four hours), stooping and lifting ability of at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

The Activity Assistant conducts and plans engaging activities to enhance the quality of life for residents. They are also responsible for documenting resident attendance and participation in these activities.
