University Place Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our growing team!

JOB SUMMARY

The Activity Assistant is a key part of our facility. Some of the job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

The Activity Assistant position is a full time position and the candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule; this position requires some weekends and evenings. The Activities Aide will be responsible for running activities, creating flyers and other materials, shopping for supplies, assisting with calendar preparation, and other duties.

  • Leading scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expressions
  • Assisting with the organizing, planning and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being
  • Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents and families
  • Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
  • Interact with families and visitors of our residents
  • Ensure excellent communication among staff, residents, and families.
  • Create positive resident outcomes.
  • Respect others by treating them the way we want to be treated.
  • Demonstrate kindness, compassion, honesty, and integrity at all times.
  • Help create a culture of superior customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Successful criminal background check
  • Long-term care facility experience preferred
  • Activity Certification preferred
