  Open Door Group (ODG), a trailblazing non-profit organization serving communities across Canada, is looking for an Activity Coordinator to join our team!   Salary: $30.20 to $31.89 per hour (Grid 31, Health Sciences Association Community Bargaining Agreement) Status: Casual Hours of Work: Up to 36 hours per week, on an as and when needed basis.  There are no guaranteed hours of work in this position, however, there will be an initial training period where the successful candidate will work close to full time hours. Following this, casual staff are required to provide availability such that they are able to work a minimum of 225 hours over any 12 month period in order to maintain employment status. Location: The primary work location for this position will be in the Chase community, supporting Community Living BC clients. Internal Posting closing date: December 4, 2025   Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Activity Coordinator is responsible for delivering an inclusive, engaging, community-based program for Community Living BC clients in the Chase area. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients to build social and pre-employment skills while coordinating daily program operations. Your work will directly contribute to the social and economic well-being of the community.   What you Bring to the Position Qualifications * Diploma in Community Support Worker or other similar/related discipline * Class 5 BC Driver’s License  (access to a reliable vehicle during working hours would be considered an asset) * CPR and First Aid Certificates * Two years of recent, related experience * Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience * Other qualifications deemed reasonable and relevant to the role * Must pass a criminal background check Client Support and Program Delivery Skills * Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with a diverse group of clients * Comfort transporting clients and supporting mobility across varied community locations * Ability to observe and recognize changes in clients * Knowledge of, and ability to lead, various arts, crafts, handicrafts, and/or sports activities * Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation principles * Ability to develop, organize, coordinate, deliver, and evaluate individual and group activities * Knowledge of adult learning techniques * Ability to instruct * Ability to motivate and coach clients and staff toward positive outcomes Communication Skills * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients * Ability to supervise a diverse group of individuals   Administration and Other Skills * Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role and work independently * Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills * Ability to meet deadlines and manage a varied client load in a dynamic environment * Proficiency with MS Office, databases, and ability to learn online technology platforms * Physical ability to carry out responsibilities such as standing/walking for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and participating in community-based activities * Ability to operate related equipment   Open Door Group values diversity and is committed to providing an inclusive work environment.
