MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience planning and leading activities for seniors in a long-term care or assisted living setting.
  • Experience working with seniors with cognitive and physical impairments preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, and staff members.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain resident privacy and confidentiality.
  • Must meet all health-related requirements pertaining to state licensure.
  • Must have a valid CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Must have WA Food Handler Card
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including physical, drug and TB testing, and criminal background check.
  • Must be a minimum age of 18 years old.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE:

To develop, coordinate, and implement engaging activities and programs that enhance the well-being, socialization, and overall quality of life for residents in an adult family home setting.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity program effectiveness.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required by management.
  • Communicate regularly with the Executive Director and care team regarding resident engagement.
  • Ensure all activities meet safety and infection control guidelines.
  • Assist in training staff on the importance of engagement and resident-centered activities.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned.
