Looking Forward Activities provide life enhancing support for people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism. We are passionate about the activities and support we provide to our Members, this isn’t just a job to us and no day is ever the same!
We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join our forward-thinking, creative and innovative team as a Activity Support Worker at our new purpose built premises in Northwich which includes, cinema, pamper room, teaching kitchen, art and crafts room, drama/exercise/dance room, reading room and sensory room.
We strive to develop independent, confident, and resilient Members who are well-prepared to engage with the wider community.
The purpose of this role is to support our Members to attain their ambitions and expectations. It will involve collaboration with other key staff/managers, ensuring Member engagement with all learning activities and championing the Member voice.
Alongside this role you will be required to accompany Members to evening /day time social activities and support delivery of life and social skills sessions.
You will need to be flexible in your working hours as you will be required to work a minimum of one evening per week.
Transporting our Members is a large part of the job, you must be comfortable driving across Cheshire. As part of this position you will need a full UK clean driving licence, and will need to insure your own vehicle for business use.
Our work involves dealing with people from diverse backgrounds, with the behavioural, cultural and religious differences that entails. Our Staff treat Members with respect at all times, regardless of their lifestyle and beliefs, and ensure that they receive the dignity they deserve.
