Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Support the preparation, review, and communication of actuarial balances under US GAAP, Adjusted GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR, and Embedded Value frameworks. Support design and implementation of earnings attribution and roll-forwards to explain results for US GAAP, Bermuda EBS/BSCR and Embedded Value used for management reporting / decision making and in Board presentations. Manage key components of the actuarial controls framework, ensuring rigor, audit readiness, and cross-functional alignment; collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. Support execution of assumption governance processes, including end-to-end assumption setting, documentation, and stakeholder engagement/communication. Support initiatives to automate, optimize, and scale valuation and reporting processes, while ensuring compliance and process rigor. Develop advanced analyses and statement of earnings reports to support financial performance insights and inform management decision-making. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, business, or related field required. ASA or FSA designation. At least 5 years of relevant actuarial experience, including financial reporting under US GAAP and/or Bermuda EBS/BSCR frameworks. Required Skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Technical skills in actuarial modeling tools and/or programming languages (e.g., R, Python, FIS Prophet or equivalent). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Capable of summarizing and communicating complex topics clearly and succinctly. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Intellectually curious and self-motivated with high standards. High ethical standards and integrity. Location and Travel Martello Re is specifically seeking candidates based in Bermuda. Periodic travel to Martello Re offices for internal meetings, approximately once per quarter for 2-3 business days, or more frequently as determined by business needs.
