DESCRIPTION This role is all about making systems that have never been made before. Working with cross-functional engineering teams to define precision actuators, build them, verify their performance, and integrate them into systems. This role requires an engineer who can coordinate effectively across organizations, some international. You will be expected to understand the key role these actuators play, and to own their end-to-end life cycle while balancing risk and schedule. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS in EE or related field Experience with supporting factory builds Experience with test planning and documentation of electro-mechanical modules Experience with standard lab equipment(e.g. multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of post-undergraduate experience in electrical engineering Skilled with electro-mechanical control systems measurement and analysis Skilled with creating and using sophisticated test setups for validation of high performance VCM-based actuators Experience with statistical data analysis Familiarity with position sensing approaches Ability to develop firmware for actuator driver ICs Exposure to various system modeling and simulation tools, such as ANSYS, Verilog A/MS, Simulink, COMSOL Familiarity with systems that include sensitive analog/mixed-signal circuits, FPGAs, and embedded microcontrollers
