Description Wiship Emory Midtown is hiring a PRN Acupunturist. Details include the following: The Acupuncturist will practice acupuncture based upon traditional oriental medical theories to improve and maintain health through the stimulation to acupuncture points and channels by the use of needles, manual stimulation, and electrical stimulation. Patients include those undergoing treatment in the Emory Veterans Program, the Emory Rehabilitation Outpatient Center, the Emory Pain Center, Emory Gynecology and Obstetrics, Gastroenterology, and other clinical service areas of Emory Medicine. The practitioner will be interested in engaging in building a practice and will participate in Emory clinical research. The acupuncturist will be compassionate, caring, sensitive to patients' needs, and passionate about being a member of a team. Minimum Qualifications: Must hold a degree in acupuncture from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM). Minimum of 1 year in medical/hospital, medical office, or wellness center acupuncture experience required. Must have a Diplomat Board Certification by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM); Maintains NCCAOM certification/continuing education requirement. Possesses current, unrestricted Georgia Acupuncture Licensure; Provides documentation of approval by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners to provide acupuncture services. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
