Description

To maintain a high standard of professional practice, working within the Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists. To be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of your own work, including accountability for the management of patients in your care as an autonomous practitioner. To be aware of evidence as a base for practice, participate in service/multidisciplinary audit and research within the clinical area and use knowledge gained to achieve optimum outcomes for Occupational Therapy. To prioritise own designated caseload.
To independently carry out assessment and appropriate intervention for patients, incorporating personal, psychological and spiritual needs in relation to self-care, leisure and productivity.
